HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language and a language used for web design, where it can be written as tags as well as denoting certain document text as many things from links to headings.

Javascript is a scripting language that can be used in websites and unlike programming languages such as C++, Javascript is slower to execute but changes are easier to make to it.

XML stands for Extensible Markup Language and is another language used for web design where users are allowed to define their own elements.

.net is a software technology that is available with several Microsoft Windows operating systems.

php is a computer scripting language originally designed for dynamic web pages and while it is suited for web development, php can be embedded into HTML.

Macromedia was a company from San Fransisco specialising in graphics and web development software and has now merged into adobe systems.

Adobe is a computer software company based in San Jose.

A Static web page is a page that always have the same information for all users.

A Dynamic web page, unlike a static web page, is a changeable page due to event handlers such as mouse rollover.
